Afternoon fish report 09/17/2025

Headed out in the afternoon with my good friend Ray, his daughter, and my daughter. Weather was a little sporty with winds from the west blowing 7-10 knots. We made it to our spot and began drifting and casting swimbaits. Slow start but Ray finally hooked one in shallower water and from there it really started to heat up. A few cast later I hooked a good one that ended up breaking me off in the shallow rocks. I quickly tied on a new crank bait and instantly hooked into what turned out to be a double. A solid 4 plus pound calico and a small 1 pound fish on the same bait. Continued to catch a few more and pulled hook on another nice fish. Wind switch on for the worst and we high tailed it home to avoid an uncomfortable ride.
